Cookie policy
Most sites open with a wall of trackers. This one does not. We store only what the site needs to function, we set no analytics or advertising cookies, and this page lists every item so you can check for yourself.

The short version
“Cookies” here means cookies and the similar browser storage a site can use. Everything ARDEN ONE stores is strictly functional: it keeps your session, your research case and your preferences working. Nothing on this site profiles you or follows you elsewhere.
What we store
These items are kept in your browser’s local and session storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us as tracking.

- Remembers that you confirmed the age and research-use gate, so you are not asked again this session. Cleared when you close the browser.
- arden-cookie-consent
- Records that you passed the entry gate and that only necessary storage is in use, so the gate is not shown again.
- arden-one-cart-v1
- Holds the contents of your research case between visits, so it is not lost when you navigate away.
- arden-one-coa-waitlist-v1
- Remembers which pens you asked to be notified about, so you see that you are on the list instead of being asked twice.
What we do not set
We set no analytics cookies, no advertising or retargeting pixels, and no social-media trackers. We do not use Google Analytics or any comparable tool. If that ever changes, this page and the consent choice will change with it, and optional cookies will load only for visitors who have accepted them, never by default.
Consent
Because everything we store is strictly necessary to run the site, we do not ask for cookie consent, and there is no banner to click through. This follows the guidance of the Dutch data protection authority, which is that functional, strictly necessary storage does not require consent.
If we ever introduce an optional cookie, for analytics or anything else, we will ask for your specific consent at that time, before it loads. Consent given then would cover only that purpose, and you could withdraw it. We will not treat entering the site today as agreement to anything added later.
Hosting and security
This site is served through Cloudflare, which may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell human visitors from automated abuse. It carries no advertising function and is not used to profile you.
Managing storage
You are always in control. You can clear this site’s storage, or block it, from your browser’s settings, usually under privacy or site data. Doing so simply resets the items above: your research case empties and the entry gate appears again on your next visit.
Changes
If we change what we store, we update this page and the date at the top. A material change, such as introducing an optional cookie, will be reflected in the consent choice as well.
