Terms of sale

These terms apply to every order placed with ARDEN ONE, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce under number 42130864, VAT number [VAT number], at Hazenkamp 60, 6836 BA Arnhem, the Netherlands. You can reach us at [contact email].

Everything we sell is supplied for laboratory research only. It is not a medicine, not intended for human or veterinary use, and not for any use outside a research setting. See the disclaimer for what that means in practice.

By ordering you confirm that you are at least 21 years old, that you order in a research capacity, and that you will handle, store and dispose of the products in line with the rules that apply to you. We may ask for reasonable proof of this before we accept or ship an order.

An order you place is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email; that confirmation repeats the products, prices, delivery costs and these terms.

We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund of anything paid, when a product is out of stock, when an obvious pricing error was made, when we cannot verify eligibility, or when there are reasonable grounds to suspect use outside a research setting. A product is only dispatched once its batch has a published analytical record.

Prices are in euros and include Dutch VAT. The total, including delivery costs, is shown before you confirm the order.

Two units, one-time order

5% off the list price of those units.

Three or more units, one-time order

10% off the list price of those units.

3-month plan

3 pens per unit ordered, shipped together in one delivery and paid once, with the volume discount on the total number of pens.

12-month plan

12 pens per unit ordered, shipped together in one delivery and paid once, 10% off the list price (or the volume discount, if higher).

Combining discounts

Discounts never stack; the highest discount that applies to the order line is used.

You pay with one of the methods shown at checkout. Every order, including a 3- or 12-month plan, is paid in full once, before dispatch. We never charge you again for the same order and nothing is billed monthly.

We deliver to the countries offered at checkout. Standard delivery costs €9.50 and is free from €200.00; express delivery adds €15.00. Delivery times given at checkout are estimates. If we cannot deliver within 30 days of your order, you may cancel and receive a full refund. Every order is shipped discreetly, in neutral outer packaging that does not show its contents.

The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the parcel is delivered to you. Outside the Netherlands you are responsible for complying with local rules on importing research materials.

Please check your delivery on arrival. If anything is damaged, wrong or missing, tell us within 7 days with your order number and a photo of the parcel and contents. We then send a replacement or refund you, at no cost to you, including any return shipping.

If you buy as a consumer, you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. Use the withdrawal function on our website or email us; we confirm receipt straight away. You then return the goods within 14 days at your own cost, and we refund the amount paid, including the standard delivery cost, within 14 days of your withdrawal. We may wait with the refund until we have the goods back or proof that you sent them.

Our pens are delivered sealed. For health-protection and hygiene reasons they cannot be returned once the seal has been broken, so the right of withdrawal lapses for a pen whose seal you have opened. Unopened, sealed pens can always be returned within the period above.

A plan is a single order for a larger number of pens: every pen of the plan is shipped together in one delivery and paid once. It is not a subscription, nothing is sent in stages, nothing is billed monthly and nothing renews.

3-month plan

12-month plan

12 pens per unit ordered, shipped together in one delivery and paid once, 10% off the list price (or the volume discount, if higher).

Because a plan is one delivery, the ordinary rules of these terms apply to it, including the right of withdrawal for sealed pens.

Every product must match its description and the documentation for its batch. As a consumer you keep your statutory rights if it does not. We make no promise about the outcome of any research you carry out with a product.

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for it. This limit does not apply to damage caused by intent or gross negligence, to personal injury, or where the law does not allow a limitation. We are not liable for loss arising from use of a product outside a research setting or contrary to these terms.

Send a complaint to [contact email] with your order number. We confirm receipt and give a substantive answer within 14 days. If we need longer, we tell you why and when you can expect it.

Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a dispute before the court of your place of residence.

We may update these terms. The version that applied when you placed an order stays in force for that order. Questions: [contact email].
